2008-01-01 - Message from our new President, Doug Garvey. 
  Happy new year everybody.  I wanted to start the new year with a big thanks to all who have volunteered in the past and especially those of us who are here to work effectively this year to raise the bar for our organization.  We are facing a challenge  to bring the kind of activities and benefits to our members that will attract new associates and create a vibrant and productive community of fellow songwriters and musicians.  I am sure that we all have some great ideas we have been tossing around for a while and I would encourage us not to be shy about bringing them up in the new business portion of our meetings.  We will need a few varied sized projects to wrap our arms around this year to propel the enthusiasm necessary for community participation in our group.  My feeling is that if we have goals we can work toward, people will want to be a part of it all. We can all vote on the appropriate direction of our efforts. I sincerely look forward to working with all of us and it is my desire to put Pueblo on the artist map as it is so worthy.  It is also my sincere wish to do the very best we can as a group to forget about the past as it relates to any problems we may have encountered and focus on what we can do now to be the very best we can be. Heres to 2008!!!!
