every Tuesday night - 8PM until done or closing...
Acts have ranged from solo acappella to pickup 8 artist jam bands
Each act gets gets 3 songs (up to 15 minutes total) and maybe a 4th song
Usually there are about 15 acts, first come, first served
The sign-up sheet is usually available by 7PM and full by 9PM
Be considerate - be prepared for your turn with instruments tuned
Donations accepted for the PSMA general fund

First annual PSMA song writing and song arranging contest -
PSMA is initiating a song wrting contest this year culminating in performances at the 2008 Colorado State Fair.  Simply recorded original songs will be judged on melody, structure, and lyrics.  The single winning song will then be sent out so that a second set of contestants can work at arranging the that song.  The recorded arrangements will then be judged on style and performance.  Up to 5 finalist groups will be invited to perform their arrangments and be judged live at the state fair.  Prizes will be awarded at the state fair.  Final contest rules, timelines, fees, entry forms, and sponsors will be available by 24-Apr-2008.  

PSMA is working to revive the acoustic and electric galleries PSMA hosted through last year.  THe PSMA board is looking for the appropriate venue and discussing the proper structure and frequency.  Look for details soon.
